Who is the man behind Ogrus?
Well, I'm currently studying at Komvux here in Ösd , apart from that I don't do much apart from slacking, listening to music, hang out with friends and such , maybe an one sided life but I can't complain.
What's the story behind the gym name?
It all started out a few years ago when a friend tricked me too start play mud (multi user dungeon) which is a text based online rpg, when I had to came up with a name for my first character I used the name Ogrus. Which I btw found in the latin name for ogre which is Ogrus Magnus , roughly translated into "Big Monster".
Other interests besides WeBL?
No original ones, listening to music, fiddlin' with the computer and so.
What made you start WeBL:ing?
Hoops!
What's keeping you hooked?
Well I'm nothing but a slave to the mighty Webl , if I quit my daily habits get screwed up .. =) also of course I'm aiming for that 1st WT.
Do you have any real life friends playing WeBL?
Fritz and Hoops when it comes to Active managers , if we count 'em all who tried the game out it'll be a total of 6 guys I know irl.
Have you found any new friends through WeBL?
Not anyone that I've met IRL . =) But sure i talk to other ppl in our community basically daily so sure I've made some new friends .. =)
Whom of them do you hate losing to the most?
3N, just 'cause we basically started out at the same time but he's way ahead of me now , annoying to the core.. :)
You and M@mm@ had a combined gym a while back that had a couple of great fighters and seemed like it was going fairly well. Why did you split up again?
If I recall it correctly I think M@mm@ was going to attend to his military service , could've been that he lost his internet connection too. But frankly I don't really know why exactly but I'm quite sure the deicision to split up was mutual .. =)
Are there any specific managers you miss having around?
Anfield, tnt, Pym.
If you could change any three things about WeBL, what would they be?
Removal of flashers, no gyms on auto pilot and a lot of new players !
Did you have any mentors when you first started playing? Who was your inspiration?
I think I milked you all on as much info as I could get in the beginning , so thanks should go out to all who helps out new players on the forum, but 3N deserves a special thanks.
Do you have any specific WeBL goals?
At least 1 WT and 100+ RT's.
Do you remember your first fighter? Who was he and how did he do?
My first fighter was called "The Real Ogrus" and in his first fight he faced a fighter from a rl friend's gym. I believe I knocked him flat in round 2 . =)
If I recall correctly you started out as a KP dancer manager in the beginning and moved on to balanced fighters and then to endurance efficient balanced fighters. Lately, you have started to mix it up again and that seems to have improved your performance considerably. Do you think you have learnt anything by managing several types?
Yeah, sure. I believe the best way to learn about different designs is to use them yourself, and also just using 1 type of design makes the game kinda dull and boring after a while, or at least I believe so.
Are there any other sharp turns, bumps or jumps in your WeBL? If so, what caused them? :
Nah not any specific one that I can recall.
Have you ever re-started your gym?
Aye, once. I actually got banned with my first gym (Ogrus elaka pojkar med spring i benen) . But as usual Pitypart helped me out so I could start playing again .. =)
You said earlier that Juicy "BBQ" Critter was your favourite fighter. How is that? What made him special?
Just that he was my first 28 status fighter ever.
What does it take to become a great manager? What are the most important traits?
Obsession, Experience and some major Mind-gaming skills .. :)
Do you see any up'n'commers with those necessary traits?
Yeah sure, since I don't want to forget too mention anyone I'll skip the name dropping, but as long as you stay dedicated and learn from your ups and fight through your downs you'll suceed.
Who will be the next Scandinavian to get a gold star?
Me hopefully .. =)

Do you feel there is room for improvement with regards to your own skills and abilities? Any specific areas?
Absolutely, there's always room for improvement , and hopefully in all sections of my game .. =)
How much time do you spend on WeBL on an average day?
1-2 h.
How much of that, on average, is FP writing, scouting, checking forums etc?
Something like 35% forum & community, 15 % scouting and 50 % FPs.
What's your approach to scouting?
Of course first there's height and then I check for kp, and last I check for spd (mainly by checking fights vs managers I face more often and try to figure it out that way.) If i face a manager I face often I just go for heigh and check for kp.
How many stock fps do you use frequently and around what "size" are they?
I only use stock fp's and I cant recall writing a brand new fp for ages. Mainly all of my fp's are made from the same template and the approx size is somewhere between 70-100 lines. Since I've been playing for quite a time I nowadays basically have a saved fp for any kind of competition I get to face, I often have to tweek them a lil though. When it comes to facing auto-pilot gyms I use 'bout 5 different stock fp's (vs really short, shorter, equal height, little taller and a lot taller.)
What's your favourite FP line?
No specific one.
Have you set any rules / set any principles etc. for yourself regarding WeBL?
Nah I go with the flow . =)
Are there any WeBL "phenomenon" that irritates you?
That the amount of active/serious managers are decreasing steadily.
Some managers who have played a while can feel that they at some point reach a plateau and that improving gets difficult. Being here as long as you have you can surely recognize the feeling. What's your best advice for getting past those plateaus?
Oh yeah I do recognize this one =) , and this does suck big time, but from my personal experience about this so far I know that things like this eventually comes to an end and advancement once again shows it pretty face, sometimes very quickly and sometimes less quickly. Just be persistent and keep struggling and eventually you'll come out on top.
What's your best advice for newbies?
Oh my, I don't really know, read the rules and force the experienced managers for help perhaps ? =)
